Dear Fellow Bloggers,
Face book? Msn? Myspace? It's a site where people want to invade on your privacy and check up on you 24/7. Sure, you could say the same about blogging, but I think you and I both know that it is entirely different.
There is no such thing as privacy with these social networks. Pictures are being looked at, comments are being made, people want to see what you are up to.
I can understand that it can be good too keep in contact with your friends and family, but bullying has become more and more popular, which coincides with facebook and myspace becoming popular. And, what I think is the most important question, can children be safe with these social networks?
According to some research that I did, nearly 35% of children have internet access where a parent isn't looking over their shoulder. Out of 100 children, 35 of them could get themselves into trouble by talking to people they don't know, or by being bullied by emails or comments left on facebook.
So, what is the point? There really isn't one, I have been constantly nagged and moaned at because I don't have facebook! Forgive me, if I don't want to add people I don't like, talk to people I barely know, and to make comments on people's profile like 'lol' and 'o.m.g'. It's pointless, pathetic and I'm proud not to have it.
Thanks! Clover Clark.

Ahhh, I felt the same as you did about having a Facebook. After getting one and not really using it, I thought "This isn't so great"...Until I left for college and wanted to keep in touch with my friends. I have under 100 friends, don't add anyone I don't like, ignore and block people I don't know who try to talk to me, and never seem to get pointless comments because the only comments I have are from my close friends. I suppose I gave in by getting one, but it's nice to leave messages for friends who I like, but don't know well enough to text all the time. It comes in handy sometimes. But good for you for not having one!!! :)
