2012

Dear Fellow Bloggers,

It wasn't that long ago that the film '2012' came out. It was a pretty scary film, well, it scared me and a few of my friends. It also got me thinking, will the world really end at 2012? Is there any point me going to University? Should I spend everything I have now?

The Mayans, a group of native people years and years ago, made their calendar and didn't feel the need to go any further than 2012, as they thought we wouldn't be here. When I first got told this, I thought it was a pile of rubbish! Until I looked into it some more, they discovered more about astrology then, than we do now, and look at how much technology we have! They could tell us more about the stars and planets just by looking and we need to have millions of pounds worth or equipment to try and keep up with them. What I'm trying to say is, the Mayans have been right about everything so far, why would this be any different. Do some serious googling or wiki-ing if you want to know more.

I also think that the Mayans calendar, ties in with the end-of-the-world theory in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. The world, in general, is getting worse. Global warming is having a major effect on us, crime is constantly on the increase and we have hit the biggest money crisis the world has ever seen. It does suggest this in the Bible. That the world will slowly get worse and worse, until the world will just end. Is it our fault that the world will come to an end in 2012? Has our problems with global warming made this worse? Or was it always meant to be?

The answer is, we don't know!
